The idea: words never change shape
The idea: Chinese words don't change their shape. Pronouns don't (I/me), verbs don't (am/is/are), and nouns don't (student/students). Instead, small separate words do the work: 们 for plural, 不 for "not." Learn where those little words go and you can build any sentence in this lesson.
